成都地区中老年人群糖尿病前期患病率及危险因素调查
The investigation of prevalence and risk factors of prediabetes among the middle-aged and elderly in Chengdu area

Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalenc of prediabetes and its related risk factors among the middle-aged and elderly in Chengdu area for the prevetion of diabetes. Methods A cross-sectional population-based survey for chronic diseases in Chengdu was performed in 2008. Logistic regression was used to analysis the relations between prediabetes and its related risk fac tors. Results The prevalenc of prediabetes was 25.13%. The prevalenc of impaired fasting glucose waslO. 44%. The prevalenc of impaired glucose tolerance was 7. 03%. And the prevalenc of impaired glucose regulation was7. 67%. Logistic regression analy sis showed that aging, low work intensity, overweight or obesity, central obesity, hypertriglyceridemia and hyperuricemia were the independent risk factors for prediabetes; However, the higher educational level was the protective factors factor for prediabetes. Conclusion The prediabetes is highly prevalent in the middle-aged and elderly population in Chengdu. We should pay more at tention to the prediabetes as soon as possible to reduce the incidence of diabetes and ita related complications.关键词
