Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the characteristics of pharmaceutical care for elderly patients with cerebral infarction and assist physician to guarantee the safety of drug use. METHODS: 16 elderly patients with cerebral infarction after admission received treatment of scavenging oxygen free radicals, anti-platelet aggregation, nutrition for nerve and other drug treatment. Clinical pharmacists provided pharmaceutical care, paid attention to rational use of drugs, participated in adjustment of drug treatment programs, and made reasonable suggestions, while observed adverse drug reactions closely, and provided guidance for patient discharge. RESULTS: For 16 patients in the group, there was an average length of stay of 18 d, 8 cases of adverse drug reactions. They discharged after treatment, and no death was found. CONCLUSION: Clinical pharmacist should strengthen the pharmaceutical care for elderly patients with cerebral infarction, and promote rational drug use.关键词
