摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the correlations between central obesity and risk factors related adverse cardiovascular disease among women of reproductive age in Chongqing area using waist circumference ( WC ) and waist - to - height ratio ( WHR ) . Methods A total of 8 769 participants aged 18 ~ 59 from one hour economic cycle of Chongqing area were selected by group sampling method. Of them, 6 833 aged 18 to 49 years old were in childbearing age and were enrolled in the study. We measured in these subjects the indices of height, WC, body weight, blood pressure, blood lipid and blood glucose. Body mass index ( BMI) and WHR were calculated. We analyzed the correlated indices between the non - central obesity group ( WHR < 0. 5 and WC < 80 cm ) and the central obesity group ( WHR^O. 5 or WC ^80 cm ) . Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between central obesity and adverse cardiovascular risk factors. Results Of the 6 833 women, 1 069 ( 15. 64% ) were with central obesity. The levels of WC, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol lipo-protein, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, and blood glucose of the non - central obesity group were significantly different from those of the central obesity group ( P < 0. 01 ) . The incidences of clustering in central obesity group ( 39. 76% ) were significantly different from that of the non - central obesity group ( 13. 78% ) ( P <0. 05 ). The results of the logistic regression analysis showed that inhabitants, ages, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein and blood glucose were among the independent risk factors of central obesity. Conclusion WC and WHR can effectively reflect the status of central obesity and risk factors for cardiovascular disease; adverse cardiovascular disease risk is high among central obesity women. It is very important for health to keep both WC and WHR in normal range.关键词
