Preparation of supporting body of the reverse osmosis membrane

Abstract
Stiffening polyester knitted fabric could be used as the supporting body of the reverse osmosis membrane. The constraint factors of choosing finishing agents and the impact of mass ratio of finishing agent components on the finishing effect were discussed. The influences of finishing agent concentration, dry temperature, cure temperature and time on the fabric performance were discussed. The optimal finishing process was obtained: 500 g/L of finishing agent Mpolyvinyl acetate) :m(epoxy resin) =7:1], dried at 110 °C, cured at 190 °C for 1.5 min. The morphology of fabric before and after stiffening finish was observed through SEM. The results showed that stiffening agent film was formed on the surface of finished fabric, and the film was uniform and dense. The strength and whiteness of the finished fabric was decreased, however, which could still meet the demand of the customers.关键词
