摘要
Abstract
Activator appliance is a functional appliance used in orthodontic treatment early, which was designed in 1908 by Andresen. It can inhibit maxillary forward and stimulate mandibular growth to regulate the sagittal jaw relationship. Currently, there are many differences on the principles of Activator appliance, one of which is whether it stimulates the growth of mandibular condyle to increase the height of ramus and mandibular length. In recent years, scholars carried out many clinical studies and animal experiments in the field. This paper reviews the effect of Activator appliance on temporomandibular joint, and discusses the relationship between Activator appliance treatment and temporomandibular disorders.关键词
