摘要

Abstract

The casting mold filling process that is related to a number of casting defects has significant effect on casting mechanical properties. In this paper, the research of numerical simulation of casting mold filling was reviewed and analyzed. Specially, the highlight research fields about the filling process including entrapment of gas and oxide film were summarized and discussed. Also, the limitations about the entrapment simulation were pointed out. In addition, the current status of the experimental method of the mold filling was reviewed as well, and the future simulation of entrapment of gas and oxide film during mold filling process was proposed.
