摘要

Abstract

The semisolid slurry of A356 aluminum alloy was prepared through a serpentine channel. The experimental results show that the suitable semisolid A356 alloy slurry can be made through a serpentine channel, which is 20 mm in the inner diameter and has 4 bends. The slurry weighs between 1.5 kg and 1.8 kg and pouring temperature is from 660 ℃ to 680 ℃. Moreover the solidified shell in the serpentine inner surface is very thin and easy to be removed. The morphology of the primary α-AI phase along the radial direction of the slurry crucible is mainly spherical or near-spherical and has little difference.
