摘要

Abstract

The ProCAST software was effectively used to simulate the mold filling and solidification processes of the No. 16 coupler knuckle, and the locations of sand erosion, slag inclusion, shrinkage and porosity were predicted. Based on the simulation results, the casting process of No. 16 coupler knuckle was optimized and improved. Production practice indicated that the quality of castings fabricated with the optimized design was improved.
