摘要

Abstract

The new pit-retaining system composed of double-row piles and cement-soil gravity arch will make full use of of gravity effect, which transmits the relatively high earth pressure close to the bottom of pit down to deep soil through gravity arch, and the upper earth pressure to double-row piles, which have better lateral resisting stiffness, and further to deep soil. The compound pit-retaining system has the advantages of each single sub-system, and meets the requirements of water-cutting in case of hign ground water level. This paper intends to analyze the form of load effect transmission in the compound system by choosing a proper theoretical analysis model in accordance with its construction features, studies the working mechanism of this system and provide certain reference basis for engineering design, calculation and application of such compound pit-retaining system.
