Research on the Feasibility of Water Level Control Based on Tide Model

Abstract
It is discovered that the transfer of the residual water level implies the transfer of the MSL. Thus the regional MSL has the same epoch. The research shows that the error of the datum is one of the largest contributors to the overall error of the method. One project in Bohai Sea is taken to test the feasibility of the method. It demonstrates establishing the regional datum and the MSL transfer. The comparison shows that one gauge can recover the water level of the other eight gauges in 15cm RMS. Finally, the problems and the limitations of the applications of the method are discussed.关键词
