Abstract
Objective To evaluate and compare effects of inlay and crown fabricated by CEREC3 computer aided design/computer aided manufacture (CAD/CAM) system. Methods 68 patients were involved in the study and 68 restorations were made according to the standard procedure of CEREC3 chair-side CAD/CAM dental all-ceramic restoration system, 40 of which were fabricated with Mark II of Vita company and 42 with CEREC block of CEREC company. All of the inlays and crowns were bonded with the composite resin adhesive and were evaluated by the same calibrated examiner with modified USPHS criteria three to six months later after being installed. Results 85.7% restorations scored A of USPHS criteria and the main preseason of failure was the fracture of ceramic. Conclusion CEREC3 chair-side CAD/CAM dental all-ceramic restoration system is convenient and rapid in designing and manufacturing inlays and crown which exhibit high quality and nature teeth color within one visiting time and the clinical result is satisfactory.关键词
