Abstract
BACKGROUND: Artificial derm is has a bi layer structure of collagen sponge and silicon e layer, which has been developed andsuccessfully applied in clinics. It is commonly used for the repair of defects of skin and soft tissue.OBJECTIVE: To study and appraise the application of artificial derm is in repairing severe defect of skin and soft tissue of footMETHODS: A total of 14 patients were admitted at the D epartment of Bum and Plastic Surgery, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital fromJune 2009 to December 2010, and all cases had skin and soft tissue defects with tendon or bone exposure due to acute tiauma.All tie patients were performed debridement and artificial dermis transplantation followed by autologous split-thickness skin graft.The s urvival of artificial dermis and s p lit-thi d< n ess skin was observed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: All cases had good coverage of wounds and re check outcome showed skin graft healing wasexcellent and donor sites had no obvious skin scar. The results demonstrated that artificial dermis graft in combination withautologous split-thickness skin graft is effective to repair s evere defects of skin and softtissue of footwith a small injury of donorsite.关键词
