摘要

Abstract

Crosslinking graft polymerization of poly (acrylic acid)/vermiculite superabsorbent resin in aqueous solution is prepared by using glow-discharge electrolysis plasma, in which acrylic acid and vermiculite are used as starting material, N,N -methylenebisacrylamide as a crosslinking agent. To optimize the synthesis conditions, seven important parameters of the graft polymerization are examined in detail, such as the discharge voltage, discharge time, neutralization of acrylic acid, polymerization temperature, amounts of crosslinking agent, vermiculite and acrylic acid used. The structure, thermal stability and morphology of resulting product are characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) , respectively. Under the optimal condition, the behavior of the obtained poly (acrylic acid)/vermiculite superabsorbent is tested with a satisfactory result, that is, the absorption for distilled water is 1 333 g·g-1, for 0.15 mol·L-1 sodium chloride solution 73 g·g-1.
