Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the level of awareness of consumers on package inserts and rational use of drugs. METHODS: A random sampling questionnaire survey was undertaken among consumers in Yinchuan, and the data were statistically processed using Excel. RESULTS: 302 questionnaires were sent out, 290 effective questionnaires were returned with effective recovery rate of 96.03%. There was a low level of consumer's awareness about package inserts and rational use of drugs, with statistically significant differences between different groups of consumers with different degrees of education, different districts of residence and different states of health. CONCLUSIONS: Consumer's awareness about package inserts is urgent to be improved with the suggestions of improving pharmaceutical care, making package insert better, popularizing medical knowledge and regulating medical advertisements.关键词
