Relationships of Relational Aggression, Friendship Quality and Loneliness in Children of Different Gender

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the relationship among relational aggression, friendship quality and loneliness in children of different gender. Methods: 430 children were assessed with Class Play Inventory, Friendship Quality Scale and Children's Loneliness Scale. Results: ①For boys, the higher score of relational aggression, the higher score of conflict and betrayal in friendship quality; and relational aggression had no significant correlation with loneliness: for girls, the higher score of relational aggression, the higher score of positive friendship quality in friendship quality; and relational aggression had significantly negative correlation with loneliness. ②For girls, there was indirect relation between relational aggression and loneliness through the complete mediated effect of friendship quality. Conclusion: The relations of children's relational aggression, friendship quality and loneliness are affected by gender, and friendship quality play a complete intermediary role between relational aggression and loneliness in girls.关键词
