Abstract
This paper studies the security and sensitivity of sampled-value differential protection algorithm (SDPA) for detecting transformer internal fault with mode restraint current. Under the most rigorous fault conditions for phase value differential relay, it analyzes and compares the security and sensitivity of detecting transformer internal fault for both traditional phase value differential protection algorithm (TDPA) and SDPAt and selects the reasonable R and S values for SDPA in the end. The angle of input signal meeting the action criteria in half power frequency cycle ranges from 90 to 121 . It is proved by a simplified simulation that the values have fine sensitivity and security for such operation condition of transformer as energizing, turn-to-tum faults, and out-zone faults. The S value determined can not only ensure safety but also ensure protective turn-to-tum fault sensitivity in the course of transformer energization.关键词
