Abstract

Currently, the high organic concentration wastewater from bean production plant is difficult to be treated, but traditional SBR still needs further improvement. Soybean processing wastewater treatment by powder activated carbon-sequencing batch reactor system(PAC-SBR) was investigated. The study showed that maximum theoretical adsorption quantity of PAC for COD reached to 13. 3 g/g. In addition, adding PAC into SBR could remarkably improve processing efficiency of the system, the COD and TKN concentration of the effluent of the PAC-SBR decreased by 25. 12% and 17. 14% Respectively, when the PAC addition was 400 mg/L. Meanwhile the sludge sedimentation was improved too.
