Abstract
AIM To investigate the influence of compound fiveleaf gynostemma capsules (CoFG) on the expression of Matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs)-2,9 and Bax,Bcl-2 in the CAL27 cells of Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OS-CC). METHODS MTF assay was used to examine the effect of CoFG on the cytostasis of CAL27 ceils of OSCC. The ex-pression of mRNA and protein of MMP-2,9 and Bax, Bcl-2 in the CAL27 cells of OSCC treated by CoFG were assayed by qPCR and Western blot. RESULTS There was statistically significant difference in the cytostasis between CoFG treated group and the non- CoFG treated group. CoFG could down-regulate the expression of mRNA and protein of MMP-2 and Bcl-2 in treated CAL27 ceils of OSCC, and CoFG could up-regulate the expression of mRNA and protein of MMP-9 and Bax in treated CAL27 cells of OSCC. CONCLUSION CoFG is an important traditional Chinese medicine which shows potential therapeutic effect on OSCC.关键词
