Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical effect of dressings by integrated Traditional Chinese Medi-cine(TCM) and Western medicine(WM) (ITCWM) after Chinese herbal bath and by the silver sulfadiazine cream (SD-Ag) in treating residual deep burn wounds. Methods A total of 128 cases of residual burn wounds were randomly divided into 70 cases ITCWM treatment group and 58 cases WM control group. In the treatment group, the patients had a bath with Chinese herbal medicine and the wounds were treated with dressing changes of ITCWM. In the control group, the wounds were treated with SD-Ag after cleaning the wound with chlorhexidine solution. Results Compared with the control group, patient s pain in the treatment group was obviously reduced (P<0.05), and the wound healing time was about 10-25 d and significant differences(P< 0.05). Conclusion On the base of TCM bath, an integration of TCM-WM for residual burn wounds is obviously superior to SD-Ag treatment, with the advantages of rapid healing, minimal pain, no obvious scar, and short hospitalization.关键词
