Abstract
LAbstractJ Objective To evaluate the relationship of polymorphism of complement C5 gene and occurrence of liver cirrhosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B.Method Polymorphism of complement C5 gene rsl7611 was examined in 182 Chinese patients with chronic hepatitis B or liver cirrhosis by using TaqMan PCR genotyping method.Results Patients with genotypes G/G,A/G and A/A were detected with A/A genotype higher in patients with liver cirrhosis (P=0.022) ;By multivariate logistic regression analysis, genotype A/A was an independent factor associated with liver cirrhosis (odds ratio=5.1,P=0.008).Conclusion Polymorphism of complement C5 gene rsl7611 is associated with progression of liver disease in Chinese patients with hepatitis B virus infection.关键词
