摘要

Abstract

This paper analyzes the flow control strategy for Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Controller(GEMAC). For the problems of long PAUSE frame response delay and large buffer preparative space, it adopts an improved flow control strategy based on PAUSE frame. It improves the flow control algorithm and optimizes the buffer space accordingly. Experimental results show that the buffer preparative space is decreased by 42.86% and the rate of buffer utilization is increased by 18.75% by using the improved flow control mediod.
