Comprehensive Evaluation of New Variety of Cottons Registered during Eleventh Five-Year Plan in Anhui Province
摘要
Abstract
[Objective] The aim was to comprehensive evaluate some new variety of cottons registered during Eleventh Five-Year Plan in An-hui Province. [ Method] The yield level, fibre quality and resistance level of the new variety of cottons were analyzed. According to the cotton medium and long term development planning of both Anhui Province and Country, the shortage and distance of cotton breeding in Anhui Province were found out, and then the countermeasures of improving cotton breeding level in Anhui Province were put forward. [Result] In Anhui Province 54 cotton varieties were registered during Eleventh Five-Year Plan, of which the common varieties were 6, hybrid varieties were 48, the varieties which were bred in Anhui were 39, the varieties which was registered in Anhui Province but bred in the other Provinces were 15, the varieties bred by enterprise in Anhui Province occupied over 80% , so seed enterprise was the main part for cotton breeding in Anhui Province. The cotton varieties yield bred by Anhui Province were high, the cotton breeding with good quality had achieved some progress, while the characters on resistance and bell weight still need to improve. In future, it was necessary to expand the cotton breeding members and improve their study level, integrate cotton resources in science and technology to promote its level in Anhui Province, increase capital input for cotton science and technology, modify the breeding goal and improve the breeding level to adapt the need of production and development, enhance the basic theoretical study of cotton heredity and breeding. [Conclusion] The study provides a guidance for cotton breeding in Anhui Province in future.关键词
