Abstract
Local traditional residential building is a valuable legacy left to future generations by our ancestors. To discover and protect them, and, to some extent, re-use them, is not only of far-reaching and great significance, but also have been the hot spot in the architecture field. In this article, we take the old building in Yujiapan Village in Changqing for example,to find a new way to protect and re-use traditional residential buildings: utilizing the way of transplanting and redesigning the building with the o-riginal material, and giving new features that make the old stone house obtain its new life in the premise of retaining its original charm by using modern construction techniques and tools.关键词
