Nursing intervention of treatment compliance in patients undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery

Abstract
Objective To explore the measures and efficacy of nursing intervention for treatment compliance in patients undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery,and to provide guidance for clinical care.Methods The data on 80 patients who had received endoscopic sinus surgery in our hospital during January 2010 to June 2010 were retrospectively analyzed.The patients were randomly assigned to receive comprehensive nursing intervention ( study group,40 patients ),or common nursing intervention ( control group,40 patients ) and then were followed up for 6 months to one year.Cognitive and behavioral changes were compared between the two groups.Changes in treatment compliance were noted.Results During follow-up,the treatment compliance was better after nursing intervention,the difference being statistically significant ( P ＜ 0.05 ).The compliance was significantly better in the study group than in the control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Improvement of cognitive and behavioral changes was markedly better in the study group than in the control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Early nursing intervention with comprehensive measures for patients undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery can effectively enhance treatment compliance,improve cognition and behaviors,improve quality of life in patients.It is worth popularizing clinically.关键词
