摘要

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the different efficacy of Physiogel? A.I. Cream and Hydrocortisone Cream to dry skin barrier's renovation in two weeks. Methods This study was a randomized double blinded, controlled study. Thirty mild to moderate Asteatotic eczema patients with two lesions of similar severity used the two different products for 14 days and observed for 17 days. Skin hydration barrier was assessed with clinical assessments, CORNEOMETER and TEWAMETER. Results There was no significant difference between Physiogel?A.I. Cream and Hydrocortisone Cream in relief clinical symptoms and increasing the hydration of stratum corneum. But the TEWL values of Physiogel?A.I. Cream were significantly decreased at the early stage of the study. Also the TC values of Physiogel? A.I. Cream were significantly lower than Hydrocortisone Cream at Day7 too. Conclusion In treatment of the dry skin, the efficacy of Physiogel?A.I. Cream was better than that of Hydrocortisone Cream in renovation of skin barrier functions.
