Application of Medpor in correction of the first and second branchial arch syndrome

摘要
Abstract
Objective To introduce the clinical application of the high-density porous polyethylene (Medpor)in the correction of the First And Second Branchial Arch Syndrome. Methods Six cases of congenital First And Second Branchial Arch Syndrome were received onlay mandibular augmentaion using Medpor.The Medpor Mandibular implant CAT#7543、7544、7535、7536 were used. Results During 3 months to 2 years of follow-up, deformities of the First And Second Branchial Arch Syndrome were corrected in 5 cases, with satisfying results.One patient had infection and the implant was removed. Conclusion Onlay mandibular augmentaion using Medpor is a safe and effective procedure for correction of the First And Second Branchial Arch Syndrome,However,critical sterilization,accurate sculpturing and fixation,and gental post-operative dressing should bear in mind when conducting the surgery.关键词
