摘要

Abstract

Using zincpieces as raw material to provide nourishment for ZnO crystal growth, ZnO crystal was synthesized on the zinc foils through hydrothermal method. Distilled water, NH3 ? H2O, NaOH and ethylene-diamine were used as mineralizer to keep hydrothermal environment as alkaline. The results showed that the concentration, molecular structure and solvent saturated vapor pressure of mineralizer affected the ZnO crystal growth habit remarkably, resulting in different final crystal morphologies. The feature of crystal morphology was speculated by X-ray diffraction intensity of crystal plane, which was validated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Moreover, crystal growth mechanism of ZnO crystallite on the zinc foil was discussed.
