摘要

Abstract

Fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) rubber isolator is made by replacing the steel reinforcing elements of multilayer elastomeric isolation bearings by fiber reinforcement. Former experimental and theoretical researches have shown that FRP rubber isolator has equivalent performance in shear deformation capacity and vertical loading capacity, but has superior behavior in damping, so broad application prospects of FRP rubber isolator should be expected. This paper aims to study the effects of influential factors on the compression performance of FRP rubber isolator,including the stress in the reinforcement and the compression modulus of the isolator. The concept of the isolator is introduced first, and then numerical simulation is conducted to study the influence of the factors on the isolator. The influence laws of the factors are proposed, which provides references of the design of FRP rubber isolator.
