烧熔陶瓷结合剂刚玉磨具显微结构研究
Research on microstructures of molten vitrified bond corundum grinding wheel

Abstract
Microstmctures of molten vitrified bond have an important effect on the behaviour of the corundum grinding wheel. The authors studied the microstmctures of the molten vitrified bond corundum grinding wheel, as well as the impurities in the abrasive grains. The reaction characteristics between the abrasive grains and the bond was revealed by electronic probe micro area analysis ( EPMA). The results showed that the molten bond was in a glassy state, the bond-bridge and the abrasive grains were bonded well. The impurities in the titanium-doped corundum grains were TiO2, ZrO2, Fe2O3, MgO, Na2O, K2O and the TiO2 was the main one. The impurity in the white fused corundum grains was β-Al2O3 rich in potassium. The reaction between the abrasive grains and the bond was obvious, the edge of the corundum grains was ablated by the bond at high temperature. The titanium-doped corundum grains showed a jagged edge and the white fused corundum grains showed a harbour-like edge after ablation. The dissolution of corundum allowed the precipitation of TiO2 into the glass bond in the form of rutile needles.关键词
