Abstract
With the advantages of simple structure, spiral pipes are widely used in oil and gas industry. Because there are some disadvantages in experimental study, the numerical research methods are applied in the research on spiral pipe. By using CFD method and VOF model a numerical simulation was done on water-oil two-phase flow in spiral pipe at fixed inlet speed. The flow field characteristics of spiral pipe were obtained as follows; water phase distribution is bigger near the inlet side, and has a little change along gravity direction, oil-water remixing phenomenon appears before and after peak value; turbulent kinetic energy intensity is the largest at inlet side, turbulent kinetic energy distribution is uniform after oil-water mixture flows into spiral pipe; dynamic pressure is dropped sharply at inlet section, but the total pressure is linearly decreased along the axial except for sharp drop at inlet; at inlet outside, lateral shear stress is the largest, along the pipe axial distribution it has a little change. The study provides the theoretical basis for spiral pipe technology.关键词
