摘要
Abstract
S-100 is a new international standard for hydrographic geospatial data., which is of great importance. However, it is still new for us and too abstract to understand. Therefore, on the in-depth research on ISO 19100 series of geographic standards and IHO related standards, an analysis and summary of S-100 was brought forward here. The disadvantages of S-57 and the advantages of S-100 were first pointed out above all, and then several important ISO terms, which appeared in S-100 but were not clearly defined, were explained, as well as the architecture of S-100. The five key matters such as registry mechanism, coordinate reference systems, data model, metadata and product specification were analyzed. At last the opportunities and challenges that S-100 may bring to our research and application of hydrographic were put forward.关键词
