Reservoir Fracture Identification Method Based on Time-frequency Analysis

Abstract
The size and difference of dual laterolog resistivity are commonly used to identify fractures. But it is also affected by other factors, so the resolution of the fracture identification is not high. To solve these problems, studied are the principle of time-frequency analysis and short time Fourier transform, and then discussed are the implicit information of the fractures in the dual laterolog by using the time-frequency analysis, which can improve the ability to identify fractures. The method is applied to a number of wells in Tarim oilfield, the results of which show that using Hamming window function and selecting 239 and 29 samples of the long and short window function to strike the amplitude and spectrum of the resistivity curves can greatly improve the ability to distinguish the fractures. The fracture identification method is based on striking a short time Fourier Transform in the resistivity curves to get the spectrum characteristics, thereby expanding techniques and methods of identifying fractures with the conventional resistivity logging data.关键词
