Fast Handoff Scheme Based on Access Point in WLAN
摘要
Abstract
Time delay and jitter resulting from mobile termination handoff between the Access Point(AP) are serious impact on the quality of real-time business. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a fast handoff scheme based on access point. It uses a two-stage trigger mechanism to reduce the workload of mobile termination and AP, utilizes improved priority neighbor cache mechanism to avoid cache outflow coming from frequent switch, uses neighbor AP information table and switching decision strategy make out the best target AP. Analysis and experimental results show that this scheme has the high safety and low network throughput and power consumption, and it can effectively reduce the 77% handoff delay.关键词
