Global Cities 2030 Industry Development Goals, Initiatives and Strategic Suggestions for Shanghai
摘要
Abstract
The paper compares the 2030 industrial development objectives and other initiatives of New York, London and other major global cities with those of Shanghai and found the following conclusions concerning Shanghai's global city building: ①Attention must be paid to the creation of overall environment favorable for industrial integration,, focusing on sectors that promote industrial revitalization, collective problem solving, people orientation. Balances must be stricken among social development, urban development and environmental protection.;② Green development plans should be prepared so as to turn low-carbon development challenges into opportunities; ③ Inter-regional networks should be developed and joint developments should be encouraged;④Compact city with mixed land use should define the future urban form;⑤The city must emphasize on brown-field development and urban amenity provision to attract and retain global talents.关键词
