Effect of planting conditions on soil nutrient contents in Eucalyptus plantations
摘要
Abstract
The effects of planting conditions including slope, generation, age, planting patterns and preceding crops on soil nutrients in Eucalyptus plantations were studied in four state-owned forest farms of Guangxi Province. The results were as follows: (1) The soil nutrient contents first reduced and then rose along with the increasing of surface gradient, which showed that the order of soil nutrients content in different slopes were gentle slope, dangerous slope and slope steep in turn. (2) The available P content decreased significantly with the increase of forest age and hydrolysable N, exchangeable Ca and exchangeable Mg declined significantly as the rotations increasing. (3) The soil nutrient contents in mix-forest of Eucalyptus and Acacia grasscapa were higher than those in the pure forest of Eucalyptus and the intercrop land between forest and grass. (4) The soil nutrients in successive Eucalyptus plantation were less than those in the Eucalyptus plantation which was planted by Cinnamomum burmanii, A. Grasscapa and Massion pine as preceding crops. Particularly the soil nutrient contents kept the higher level in the Eucalyptus plantation preceded by A. Grasscapa than in the other ones, which indicated A. Grasscapa may be selected as a good mixed or rotated tree.关键词
