澜沧江中下游篦齿苏铁种群结构及其保护对策
The Population Structures and Conservation Strategies of Cycas pectinata in Middle-Lower reaches of the Lancang River

Abstract
The investigation on the habitat, population structure of Cycas pectinata Griff, was carried out at the reservoir and junction area of Nuozhadu Hydropower on the middle and lower reaches of the Lancang River. The results demonstrated that the distribution of Cycas pectinata Griff, was inhomogeneous with 48.37% on the right bank, 4. 26% on the left and 46. 37% at tributary. It grew in the deciduous monsoon forest, where 47. 85% of the total 401 were found at the southern and northern slopes. In the investigation area the population density was rather low, about 1 per hectare. Due to the serious destruction by men, the population structure was unstable with the less mature trees, especially lacking of the plant of Ⅲ grade, and more juvenal trees of Ⅰ and Ⅱ grades with 32.21%. It was also found that the plant of blooming and seeding was very few with only 5 blooming and 2 seeding in the population. But the spikelet fertility was high. At present the population confronted many threats: human collection; on the other hand, its habitat was seriously destroyed and degraded because of human production and occupying area of projects; furthermore, it was effected by rodent. Based on the material and information collected, the author considers the man-made interference, rather than natural factors, the major reason of density declining. Therefore the investigation and the protection should be strengthened and the relative researches should also be operated for the protection.关键词
