摘要

Abstract

This paper dwells on the design and realisation approach for a hand detection system which is capable of detecting timely and precisely a kind of human hand in image with the gesture of closing five fingers together upward with palm toward the lenses. In the paper we collected and established the human hands sample images library used for human hands detection classifier training, expatiated on the applied rationale of skin colour model and the realising approach for skin colour regions extraction, and presented the principle and implementation algorithm of a classifier based on the AdaBoost learning algorithm. Through experiments the speed of detection and the effect the system achieved were analysed in the end of the paper.
