On Historic Towns Conservatior —Conservation and Development of Historic Water Towns South of the Yangtze River
摘要
Abstract
This article is the third of a series of study on "Conservation and Development of Historic Water Towns South of the Yangtze River". Water towns' are imbued with Chinese traditional spirit that promots public welfare and ecological harmony. And this corresponds to the low-carbon development principles of contemporary town building. A good conservation plan should actively seek to merge history with contemporary life practices and pay attention to the living standards of residents so that tendencies toward aging, hollowing out and homogenization can be avoided. To get reasonable development in historic towns, we should carefully use their heritage resources and formulate realistic policies to guide tourist and service economy development.关键词
