摘要

Abstract

Meter wave radar has a wide beam in vertical plane. The coherent superposition of direct wave and multipath wave causes the beam to split. Thus, amplitude-comparison or DBF(digital beam forming) cannot be used in height finding. The theory of maximum likelihood algorithm and the geometry model of reflection environment in meter-wave radar are introduced. A height finding technique based on maximum likelihood super resolution matched by geometry model and its realization steps are presented in this paper. This method is effective in height finding at low angle in meter-wave radar. The real data processing results of DBF, maximum likelihood algorithm and the method proposed by this paper are presented. Its outstanding performance of height finding has been proved by the experiment in meter-wave radar.
