Influence of Dwell Stress and Loading Rate on the Creep Behavior of 316H Stainless Steel

Abstract
A series of creep tests were carried out, and the influence of dwell stress and loading rates on the creep behavior/life was investigated. It was found that the creep behavior was significantly influenced by the dwell stress. When conducting the creep damage evaluation for high temperature structures, the effect of dwell stress should be considered for the determination of creep strain rate and creep ductility. And the loading rate before dwell may also influence the creep behavior, especially for the low loading rate. Hence, the low loading rate should be considered when conducting the creep damage evaluation for high temperature structures.关键词
