Preparation of novel multifunctional viscosity index improver for lubricating oil

Abstract
Dispersant ethylene-propylene copolymer viscosity index improver is prepared by polyethylene-polyamine and maleic-anhydride modified ethylene-propylene copolymer, which are grafted by ethylene-propylene copolymer and maleic-anhydride. The effects of maleic-anhydride, polyethylene-polyamine, temperature of grafting reaction and amination temperature on viscosity index improver are investigated. The result shows that the products have good shear stability, thickening ability and decentralization using F1 as initiator. The graft rate is 4.1% when the weights of maleic-anhydride and polyethylene-polyamine are 12% and 7%, respectively, temperature of grafting reaction is at 160 ℃ and amination temperature is at 140 ℃关键词
