Abstract
MC4R was a class of peptide secreted by the hypothalamic ventromedial nucleus,and one of 5 subtypes of the melanocortin receptor family(MC1 -5R). In mammals,MC4R could mediate the leptin,and it was an important signaling molecule that might regulate the balance of energy and energy-homeostasis,and combined with melanocortin or agouti protein and agouti related protein,it played a key role in controlling the appetite and body weight steady-state.Thus,MC4R was given much attention as an important regulator in human obesity research.Recent studies have shown that back fat thickness of the sheep are associated with G→A mutation in 1 232 point of MC4R, and AG type and AA type have higher back fat thickness than GG type.关键词
