Abstract
With the increasing share of wind power in a power system, the impact of its integration cannot be ignored. A regional grid which has a lot of wind resources is mostly not strong. Combined with the reactive power performences of wind farms, the voltage stability of the grid with wind farm integration is particularly important. The transient voltage stability of the grid was analyzed for the cases of integration with DFIG (doubly fed induction generator) based wind farms and IG (induction generator) based wind farms. The critical clearing time points of fauts at various power outputs were given by DigSILENT simulation. The improvement of transient voltage stability of IG based wind farms by dynamic reactive power compensation devices (SVC and STATCOM) was studied also.关键词
