摘要

Abstract

As the resource of WSNs nodes is limited, a scheme of IPv6 masthead compression is proposed for significantly reducing the amount of data transmission and improving the overall performance of IPv6 sensor networks. Under the research of 6LoWPAN(IPv6 over Low power WPAN) masthead compression, in combination with characteristics and practical requirements of the wireless sensor networks, a IPv6 masthead compression scheme supporting hop limit compression was designed and realized, based on the existing basic protocols of IPv6-WSN. The experimental results validate that the masthead compression can effectively reduce energy consumption, packet loss rate and the delay of packet delivery.
