Congestion Management Considering Static Security and Stability Constraints for Power Markets

Abstract
A congestion management model considering comprehensive static security and stability constraints is established in this paper. The nonlinear interior point method (NIP) is used to solve this problem of optimal power flow. Furthermore, the methods are proposed to allocate the congestion costs. Based on the Lagrangian multipliers of all static security and stability constraints obtained at the optimal solution, the total congestion cost is allocated to the active constraints. Then the voltage security congestion cost is allocated to reactive power consumption of each bus by using the sensitivity of bus voltage with respect to nodal reactive power consumption. The participation factors of active power are used to allocate the voltage stability congestion cost to each nodal active power. The simulation results on IEEE 30 system show that the allocations of congestion costs are compatible to the responsibility principle of costs allocation.关键词
