Abstract
Objective To investigate the change in DNA damage response molecules during arterial calcification. Methods Expression of p21 ,p53 and c-abl was detected by RT-PCR. The phosphorylation level of p53 protein and chkl protein was detected by Western blot. Results The mRNA level of p21 ,p53 and c-abl was upregulated at the point of 2,4 and 6 days and descended from the eighth day in the vacular smooth cells after treatment with 10 mmol β-glycerol phos-phate. The phosphorylation level of p53 protein and chkl protein was also up-regulated in the first 6 days. Conclusion The mRNA level of p21,p53 and c-abl and the phosphorylation level of p53 protein and chkl protein are up-regulated in the early stage of calcification, suggesting that calcification may be correlated with DNA damage response.关键词
