Abstract
Based on the systematical discussion of the effective apparent resistivity properties, the effective apparent resistivity is an invariable under the coordinate rotation, which is correspondent to the modulus of magnetotelluric response impedance tensor matrix. Under the 1-D condition, It is equal to the normal apparent resistivity ρa, and under 2-D condition, it is the average of the ρTE and ρTM, which has the dimension reduction property. The parallel moving algorithm was used to do static correction, as the static effect can not affect its curl shape. At the same time, it is irrelative to coordinate rotation, so the inversed deviation because of the incorrect mode discrimination, can be avoided in the effective apparent resistivity 2-D inversion. So the utilization of effective apparent resistivity in processing and interpretation of the magnetotelluric sounding data was recommended.关键词
