摘要

Abstract

In order to improve the dispersibility and affinity of the metal hydroxide powders, the magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide flame retardant powders were modified with silane coupling agent KH-550 by mechanical ball milling. XRD, FTIR and SEM were used to characterize the modification effects under different modifying conditions. The reaction mechanism was analyzed and discussed too. The results showed that the mechanical ball milling modification was more conducive to the dispersibility of hydroxide flame retardants, and the optimizing modification condition was in acidic medium.
