Effects of Dietary L-arginine and Arginine Activator Additive on Growth Performance and Biochemical Parameters of Serum in Weanling Piglets

Abstract
120 crossbred piglets were weaned at 21 d of age and then had free access to diets with 2. 05% alanine (the control group) ,the control group ,upplemented with 0. 6% L-arginine(the L-arginine group) or 0. 09% arginine activator additive (AAA) ,the experiment lasted 7 d. The goal of experiment was to determine the effects of 0. 6% L-arginine or 0. 09% AAA on growth performance, internal organs weight and serum biochemical parameters. The results showed that ADG, ADFI, feed-weight ratio increased in the L-arginine group (P<0. 05), the liver, kidney, spleen and lung weight relative to body weight were lower (P>0. 05), and the heart weight were higher (P>0. 05) in L-arginine group and AAA group than that in the control group (P<0. 05). Compared to the control group, serum SUN and ALP were lower in the L-arginine group and the AAA group (P<0. 05). These results indicated that supplementation with L-arginine or AAA could release early weaned stresses and improve growth performance of early-weaned piglets, and supplementation with 0. 09% AAA could institute 0. 6% L-arginine in piglets.关键词
