摘要

Abstract

The principles of optical microscope (OM) image analysis, bromine-methanol and solvent flushing methods were investigated in this paper. The inclusion content of pure aluminum was investigated and analyzed comparatively by using these methods. The results show that all these three proposed approaches can detect the inclusion content of pure aluminum. It is also indicated that the optical microscope (OM) image analysis is most convenient, however, its evaluation results are higher than the actual ones, while that of the other methods are lower than the actual ones. The solvent flushing method can get more accurate results. Under the condition of higher inclusion content, the results of bromine-methanol method are more accurate, while there is great deviation in the situation of lower inclusion content. It is evident that the results obtained in this paper lay the foundation for testing standard of different inclusion contents of pure aluminum.
